Runway mannequin was the show I attended in August. I was contemplating putting this post up being that it was quite late and then again so much photos taken and I didn’t just have the zeal to edit and pick some proper photos of the event.
Runway mannequin is a charity show organized by white heart foundation with the theme CHILD NOT SLAVE and this was my first time attending their show. The event was more of a runway show packed with many designers across Nigeria. I liked the concept of the stalls for some designers and other entrepreneurs at the event; I guess it was more like whatever sales any designer makes at the show, a percentage was given to charity
My outfit to the event was quite on the simple side with a touch of Ankara which I made into a belt. The blazer is actually an oldie. My mum give it to me a while ago(custom made), it was quite big and I wanted to make some amendment to it but she said I shouldn’t that I was going to grow into it lol; well I didn’t grow into it but I found my way around it; I basically used that Ankara Obi belt which is on sale HERE to give it more fitting. On my leg i wore a sock over my sandals heel and I love the outcome. most people at the show kept asking where i got my shoe from lol, little did they know it was just the socks making a difference, but I told them lol.
I was also in attendance with a friend of mine and CEO of FORSHION DESIGNS. We looked more like a couple yh? lol,me with my somewhat androgynous look n her looking girly sort of lol.Don’t you just love her outfit, well I do, especially the nude mesh hooded top and her heels. The mesh top is from her recent collection; so you can it her up on instagram with this handle FORSHION if you need it..
